Silver Lining
This was my entry for Pixar's Renderman Shipshape contest. I received an honorable mention for it.
I wanted to capture a magical moment above the clouds that this hard working robot on his ship would get to escape to after a days work.
-Texturing was done in substance painter.
-Shading lighting and rendering were done in Maya - using pxrSurface as the base material and the pxrUniform integrator in renderman23.
-The clouds and smoke I simulated in Houdini and converted to VDB's which I then imported into Maya.
-Compositing was done in Davinci Resolve.

The Hidden People
This project was another Pixar Renderman contest which I also received an honorable mention for!
- This one I really wanted to play with scale. I decided to shrink down the massive model to tiny "fairy" size. My inspiration were the Huldufolk, the tiny invisible elves of Iceland. Along with that I thought it'd be fun for my tiny elf to be friends with a fuzzy giant. In my scene the elf has his eyes close in anticipation of the surprise from his giant friend.
